Dog Training
Services
3 hours · $500 + mileage
This is where we figure out what’s really going on with your dog—and what you can do about it.
I come to your home and spend three hours getting to know you, your dog, and the way you live together. Rather than simply teaching your dog commands or trying to manage one behaviour at a time, we look at the relationship underneath the behaviour.
I’ll teach you how your dog thinks, communicates, and experiences the world, and show you how to become the calm, trustworthy leader your dog needs.
You’ll learn the foundation of my approach and, most importantly, how to apply it to your dog and your everyday life.
We’ll work on what you’re actually struggling with.
Maybe your dog:
-
pulls you down the street
-
jumps all over people
-
barks at everything
-
can't settle
-
follows you everywhere
-
struggles when you leave
-
reacts to people or other dogs
-
seems anxious, fearful, or overwhelmed
-
doesn't listen when it really matters
-
or simply makes everyday life harder than you expected
We don't have to spend three hours checking boxes on a list of behaviours.
Once you understand what is driving your dog's behaviour, you can begin addressing many different problems from the same foundation.
This isn't the first step in a long training program.
The goal of the Calm Canine Session is to give you what you need to continue the work yourself.
For many dogs, the foundation we establish during this one session is enough to create significant change. You don't need to commit to a series of appointments just to get the information you need.
You'll leave with a different understanding of your dog, a clear direction for what to do at home, and the tools to keep building the relationship on your own.
And if questions come up afterward, I'm still here.
Ongoing support is included.
Your support doesn't end when our three hours together are over.
After your session, you have ongoing access to me by text and email. If you get stuck, aren't sure how to handle something, or want to check whether what you're seeing is part of the process, you can reach out.
If your question can be answered by text or email, I'll answer it.
Sometimes, though, a question turns into something that would be easier to actually work through together.
That's where additional coaching comes in.
Additional Coaching
30 minute virtual - $75
60 minute virtual or in-person - $150 (+mileage if applicable)
Sometimes you don't need more information—you need someone to work through something with you.
Additional coaching is available virtually or in person when you would benefit from dedicated time and attention.
This might be helpful if:
-
you're having trouble applying what you learned
-
you want me to observe you and your dog
-
a new challenge has come up
-
you're working through a particularly complicated behaviour
-
you want some extra practice or feedback
-
or you simply want some reassurance that you're on the right track
Ongoing support gives you access to me when you have a question. Coaching gives us dedicated time to work on something together.
Additional coaching is optional. You don't need to book it simply because you've completed a Calm Canine Session.
